Yep, Rugby, Hockey and the ever so lovely Cross Country, Cricket, but then we did have the likes of sailing and occasionally golf in the Summer terms. Though the school was pretty successful with Rugby and Hockey in the 80s.

It was the same at Wirral Grammar. We could play anything but football, even Eton Fives! Fortunately, in the sixth form my mate had a car so we could go swimming art Byrne Avenue Baths. It was a good skive.

Remember a 2 lap course at WGS and about a dozen of us hid in the copse fagging it until the pack came back around. Happy days!
