Players at the 2026 World Cup will be stopped from going to the technical area to talk to coaches when goalkeepers are injured.

This will be difficult to manage. The fourth official will have to have eyes in the back of his head. And if another player is injured? What if the coach wants to give advice regarding a formation change if a player is likely to come off? It sounds a bit overfussy but anything is possible in Infantino's 'golden' World Cup!

The ones with Marosi being “injured” came in handy last season. Think they’re already having scheduled water breaks due to the heat in the World Cup so may not assume such importance
