    New manager appointed
Tranmere Rovers have appointed Darrell Clarke as the club’s new manager.

Rovers old boys

Was hoping we could go for the Rochdale manager if they’d lost but hey ho.

I’d forgotten about that. Remember the name but very little about his appearances for us.
You remembered more than me as I had no recollection of him at all!

Wiki says we had 16 players on loan during that 2013/14 season! Makes this season’s 10 look like a model of stability.

Mani D, Rochdale legend! Not the first time he's scored a vital goal this season. It's a funny game.
Also a NL playoff winner for both Salford and Grimsby, with more vital goals for both those sides along the way.

Consistently good record in the NL since leaving us, but never really did anything in the FL. Obviously poorly managed by Mellon.. ;)

Yes. Manny did not do much with Rovers. The highlights of the Rochdale game were entertaing and some great saves by the young goalie. He will probably have to leave Man City if he wants a serious career.

He played 6 games for us and was poor, he has a very good record in the national league and a very poor record in the football league.

Adam Proudlock, the striker we had on loan from Wolves back in 2002, has been appointed assistant manager at Market Drayton Town in the NW Counties Division 1 South, same division as Lairds and Ashville.

Logan Chalmers on the scoresheet for Partick Thistle in a 2-1 win, taking them to a play-off final v St Mirren

Ross Doohan on the bench for Celtic in their title decider v Hearts
Gutted for Hearts. Echoes of the 85-86 season, which I am old enough to remember, where they lost the league and Scottish Cup in the space of seven days.

The stranglehold of the Old Firm remains. What a tedious league.

Lots of old boys on show in the legends game. MOM for me was Ollie banks with the likes of Peter Clarke and Mark Ellis looking no different.

Norwood not in the best of shape. We must not bring him back to PP

most corrupt league in europe
The scenes at Celtic Park were an utter disgrace. Brought back memories of what used to happen in England before there was a crackdown. Huge question marks against Celtic and their control of the crowd. I hope that they are suitably penalised. Close the ground for a while plus a big financial penalty maybe.
