Rovers return to Prenton Park on Good Friday to take on Doncaster with only four games left to play. After the somewhat unbelievable 3-3 draw on Saturday against Accrington, Rovers find themselves seven points clear of the relegation zone with twelve to play for. A win here would pretty much guarantee safety and might even shoot us up a few places.

Standing in our way is a Doncaster team who are flying this season. They have two wins and three draws from their last five games and their last defeat came over a month ago against Bromley. They are 4th in the table and are playing for an automatic promotion spot. There are only five points between themselves and Port Vale at the top with Bradford and Walsall also looking to bag those coveted top three places. They have won 20 games this season scoring 62 goals in the process.

The last time the two teams met was on 21st December and it didn't end well. Rovers had their pants pulled down with goals from J. Olowu, P. Kelly and K. Hurst whilst a late Sol Solomon goal ended the game 3-1.

Danger men for Doncaster include Luke Molyneux and Jordan Gibson who are a constant threat down the flanks with plenty of goals and assists between them. The well travelled Billy Sharp will not feature after receiving a straight red against AFC Wimbledon after landing a headbutt into Lewis' back. Loanee Rob Street will most likely feature up front.

They have their game in hand at Salford tomorrow and can push Walsall out of autos. They'll be positive we can rely on that

Donny play their game in hand tonight and draw at Salford 1-1. They now sit 4th in the division, one point off second and 4 points off top.

They have the best away record in the division. A point would be a decent result but let’s hope it’s 3.

Gonna plump for Easter egg or two.
Can't see us scoring more worldies to win tomorrow.
A draw will do.

Happy Easter everyone. Hopefully.

As well as the best away record Donny are top of the charts for final third entries, XG and shots taken in the division.

McGee could be busy but keep it tight and we have a chance.

Also

24th placed Morecambe are away at Bromley

23rd placed Carlisle are at home to Port Vale

22nd placed Accrington Stanley travel to Salford.

We don't seem to have a great home record v Donny and I'd be happy to take something from the game. It will be interesting to see what changes Crosby makes in the light of the Accrington game and his acceptance of making some wrong calls for that match.

A draw tonight for Bradford v Notts county means a win for Donny tomorrow will see them leapfrog the bantams. I’d definitely take a point tomorrow.

It will be a tough one for sure.

He made the same sort of calls as when he did when got results. We went 3 down, now through popular opinion by not starting a second centre half, but he actually reverted to his theory by dragging Turnbull. I would suggest his methods are consistent, the 3 goal deficit was the outlier for now.
Let's hope Accy didn't expose what many of us were worried about in the first place as others may be wise now.
Crosby has played Hawkes and Taylor at right wing back and got results, he would get the full Adkins treatment for doing so if results go against us. More than ever, opinions on play are influenced by the results.

Totally agree, DB. Andy has made some strange decisions. Dropping the captain, playing three at the back with just one centre-half, playing wingers as wing-backs, changing winning teams etc. But he's only lost one game and that was because of a missed penalty. Just keep going, Andy!

We still can't be trusted away from home, but at Prenton Park we can beat any League Two team. There are no outstanding sides in this division this season.
I hope so RLC. I just fear Donny are a step up from chesterfield and Bradford and they have a real incentive to go for it.

We shall see

Hawkes actually starts. I would imagine he and Morris will be the two tens, with Finley and Hendry sitting.

Probably line up much as expected. Bradshaw not on the bench, presume unavailable. Molyneaux and Sterry the two best Donny players in their starting xi. Bit windy. Not sure how this will go.
