He stayed he would be available if they wanted him. Even then as an IOM resident his involvement would be low.
Given some of the psychobabble Americans come up with, remember Terence smith, it seems a safe option.

If true, that’s very interesting. We usually go for old boys (or at least Northerners) who are experienced managers at our level. But then, most of our managers have failed.
 
Looks like McMahon’s agent has been doing his job! Think we’ll have many names under consideration and no reason why he shouldn’t be one of them, but it’d be a surprise if our interest went much further than that.

I remember McMahon managing Ebbsfleet when they gave us a scare in the playoffs. He left a good impression that day. He’s done alright since then but thought he might have progressed higher by now, although he is still young for a manager.

The type of manager we should be looking at but in the current set up and with 2 years left on his contract he won't be coming here.
 
I see that Barrow have moved swiftly and recruited Adam Murray who just got Kidderminster promoted for the NLN.

Wonder when we'll see the next Rovers boss in place.

McMahon is exactly the sort of person DAV would be interested in. Though the club have announced that the process of recruitment is underway, it is possible, likely even, that that is being directed by the new owners, though they can't formally negotiate contracts until the sale has completed so the club would be having to do that, it is also likely the case that the club can't currently create new contracts on their own, without the say so/approval of the incoming owners
