Rovers make the short trip to Gresty Road to face Crewe on Saturday. Tranmere are desperate to pick up points as they struggle to get out of the rut they are in. 2 wins in 10 tells it's own story and I have a feeling Andy Crosby will be looking for containment again hoping his team come away with something from a fixture we have a terrible record in.

Crewe on the other hand will be hoping for maximum points to boost their play off/automatic chances currently sitting in 6th, 12 points from the top. Their recent record is good having won 3 out of their last 5 and only losing once to Fleetwood by a single goal.

I have absolutely no idea what 'the tinkerman' will go with for team selection. He seems to be unable to stop the slide and seems intent on changing things just for the sake of it. Players in and out, played out of position, no strikers in the starting eleven etc etc.. The heavy defeat to Notts County at the weekend sums up the current state of play with a real abject performance.

Our record at Gresty Road is quite frankly awful. We have to go all the way back to 1999 to find our last league win at Gresty Road. A 2-0 win with a second half brace from Wayne Allison. Joe Murphy sat on the bench for this one.

I can't see anything but a loss here which will put huge pressure on the Newport game a few days later.

I’ve not decided about going yet. Think it’s around £28 a ticket and my visits in the last two years have been rubbish.
Crewe had a great result last week winning at Swindon despite having an injury crisis similar to our own. They don’t score a massive amount but don’t concede many either.

I’m sure Crosby will make changes and it wouldn’t surprise me if Ironside comes back in up top. Norman could get a start although I like Plant and Patrick may be lucky to keep his place although lots of players were poor last week.

If we lose again that would be 9 defeats out of 10 and a long trip to Newport on the Tuesday night. Lose both trips to Crewe and Newport then I’m sure that would be it for Crosby.

Crewe ended their hoodoo at Prenton Park just prior to Christmas, defeating Rovers on home soil for the first time in a quarter of a century. Perhaps we will return the favour on Saturday ? Dream on.

Crosby should have been removed at the weekend. The players have given up on him and this will almost certainly be another defeat, which will put ridiculous pressure on the Newport game.

Even if he was to be sacked on Saturday night, any successor will not have time to make an impact before the huge fixture at Rodney Parade. Poor decision making.

A big huge Deafening beating coming up, we would normally take sht tons to a local game will this get ugly, this is probably the worst Rovers team i can remember that includes the owners ans piss poor management

If crosby and parkinson, where in my kitchen oh and all the team the whole fkn, lot of them would have been sacked after the weekend

There is no plan, it smacks of Crosby running the entire mad show to put his own wares in the shop window. It has from the very start. Odd ideas last season coincided with a burst of form and safety. Now same strange ideas and the reverse.
Last week the team sheet left me with no hope then the realisation lowe was the ultimate defender reduced my view.
Not sure a random selector would do any worse.
Mine, keeper plant Negru smith brough Patrick; Finley Warrington Obiero; ironside Whitaker. And any subs like for like, keep the system. If he is selecting to confuse the opposition, clearly doing the reverse

In the old days when we were on a bad run you could always feel optimisitc things will turn unexpectedly. Now no more!
Think we will lose.
Read on the other site incidentally a rumour that Crosby supposedly had 2 games to save himself but given the first was a 5-0 loss surely that should have been enough...

I agree with RLC, Crosby should have gone at the weekend. There can only be a couple of things keeping him the job.
1. He's been called in on Monday and been asked to convince them how he'll turn it round...and has somehow come up with a "plan".
2. Possibly more likely, there are no credible replacements available. Especially taking into account the future uncertainty re the takeover.
I'm expecting some reaction from the players at Crewe (there should be). I'll go with a narrow home win.

We are a one man band, Palios can do it all one on one immediately
I'm sure he can find someone for two months, there is more out of the game than in it manager wise.
I don't expect any reaction. The team was defused by complete chaos, no individual effort will change that. Patrick, Whitaker and Lowe were put in areas alien to them. Obiero and plant just looked lost. And the central mid pair didn't function it never has all season.
At least Crewe have no hope of outthinking us
