They don't really neither could they ever. No one can move us off the Wirral. They can still use the assets they own to leverage credit against which could result in the ground being seized. Mark is doing his best to protect but nothing can fully guarantee

Not my fault that a deal has not gone through and I can't tell you why not, because of NDA's but because you will realise that it's another bad decision.
The fan park is the trust and supporters fault, because I don't have the cash to spend on something to be proud of for you idiots.
I never thought it through. I didn't think that it would happen, so I didn't put assurances and a back up plan in place in case it did go tits up.
(This is an affront to the former chairman of the trust)
The new manager (first team coach really) will be asked who he wants to bring in. And if affordable within wage constraints. Then we shall see. We have offered some of our uncontracted players. But we might sign them if an agreement can be reached (lower wages, lower signing on fee)
I'm sorry about the turnaround in staff, but the pay the least policy, seems to be unacceptable to some, how ungrateful. We may replace with voluntary staff if possible. Don't forget it's a privilege to work for this great club.
I would like to thank all those supporters who have renewed their season tickets. I know the tclub should have shared the takeover update before the season tickets went on sale. But it wasn't my fault. Being absent from the club, I couldn't make that decision. The now ex members of staff, should have been more circumspect. (Do we have to do everything?)
While I'm deciding , what is next for the club, I hope I can get more money out of the sponsorship deals. But I believe it is not enough to increase the wage bill and we must live within our means. Even though, it is costing the club £1million plus a year.
It's not my money, thank the lord. The debt can be paid off, when the sale when, if it goes through.I

I know we are slowly, since covid. Never enough money from the government, FA, the league, (bastards) to help with recovery from covid. Bloody Johnson. Again, it's all their fault. Boris and Peter. That we were extremely fortunate not to find ourselves out of the football league. Nigel, my mate, said it was fine and never getting relegated. It's all his fault, as a good friend and Tranmere through and through. (Not going to watch this rubbish if I can help it. ) I have every intention to retire away from the business, so it Won't be my fault ever again.
Keep support growing, so it disguises the utter mess the club I love is in. I do have to find the money so I can pay wages. Should be all volunteers or government paid.

We are proud of what we have achieved.
 
Disappointing and frustrating the club sale will not be happening any time soon, more time stuck in limbo, while we should be planning building for the season ahead.
 
Given most ST holders renewed before Rovers were guaranteed L2 status, it’s hard to evaluate how much impact the revelations from Mark Palios about 3 potential bidders would have affected sales, if announced before the early bird cut off point. My guess is probably not that much. Otherwise I agree with the valid criticisms of the statement from the co-chair set out earlier in this thread.

On a personal level I have decided not to renew my season ticket. The bringing forward of the early bird cut off date and the strong possibility that the Palioi will still be in charge come August are factors in that decision. I wasn’t breaking even on the cost and after events of the last year no longer feel charitable towards the current owners or confident of improvement. Obviously I will still attend when possible.

Indeed tin hat is worthwhile.
Some valid points - some IMO nonsense.
I just wish that people would stop going on about the Fan Zone. It's an irrelevance. Rubbish fake German Lager is of zero interest even if it ever opened which is highly unlikely unless the new owners if we ever get them want to to placate the vocal minority.
 
I think the issues regarding the Fan Park are just symbolic of how shoddily the club has been run in recent years. It is of real importance to those people, including myself, who put substantial sums into the project for no return.

I find it incredible, for example, that nobody concerned (including our beloved chairman) bothered to consider that a glass structure might get very cold in winter, and very warm in summer.

Both literally and metaphorically, we have an owner who could not organise a pi$$ up in a (micro) brewery.

I feel sorry for the many fans, like RLC who invested in the scheme for no return. However, the club itself had a responsibility to assess the viability of a structure built on club land from the outset. The apparent failure to do so has been symptomatic of how the Palioi have failed to discharge their self-described role as custodians of TRFC in recent years.

Yea its not great and the last few years hsve shown that mark and nichola. Have lost sight of what we as a club need and want. We need to improve and move forward but until they are gone it will never happen. Knowing mark and the way he likes to mess around this is probably one of the reasons its taking so long to get it sorted

According to the Trust all scheduled repayments were being made from profits from the tent so no investors are losing out (as yet at least). Is this not true as well then?
 
I think it is the fans who have lost all sight and proportionality. Stop me where I am wrong_ Mark stated he had no great wealth and aimed to improve the books, bring in more money and ultimately a higher worth owner.
He has sorted most sores with the exception of the main stand but that seems held up subject to possible ground move. He has brought in significant Indonesian cash and has attracted buyers who are considering, at the very least, a £15 million price tag with hard cash to move forward. PJ had to discount his way out and thankfully found an honest dealer to take over. The chances are anyone else would have run up debts like they have done at numerous other clubs.
Basically the fans go mental about Mark not spending endlessly with money he clearly stated he didn't have. Comically they demand he sells, which implies he should sell to any cowboy happy to get their hands on the assets, without any diligence.
As ever things could be a whole lot worse and may become so.
The fan park, the clue is in the name, the fans planned it and it has gone tits up.
 
Out of ‘the fans’ or the club, I know which one I trust with my money!

Still, good to see steps being taken to try and ensure nobody loses out financially.

Donors are obviously losing out, as opposed to investors, as there is no facility for them to use.

Completely agree. Granted it was a fan project & poorly run but built on the owners land, I find it amazing they had no involvement.

Yes, it was, and financed with supporters and sponsors. Interested parties money. Built on club land, with the club's permission.
Otherwise. It wouldn't have been approved by local planning and the owners knowledge.
In my opinion. Once it was built, I do believe the club wou!d have made money out of it, as well as the tent is now.
The tent was only temporary in the first place and has served it's purpose. How it passes the council's health and safety etc. I have no idea.
I definitely would not trust the owners with my money. The trust yes.
I know this from having dealings with the owners.
I just can't believe anyone is fool enough to except the update. Pure fantasy, And according to someone who still works for the club. There is one of two left.
Smurthwaite is the only choice, as the others are not interested now.

What about ultimate responsibility?
 
The trust have done basic supporter club stuff very well. But this was a 365 full time venue as was their hotel idea, indeed they wanted the club to run.
Unless the trust has a very different account, they have proved to be completely out of their depth and living a fantasy
Fans are protecting the trust on X and abusing everyone else,yet the trust offers no defence

We can all whinge about Mark and Nicola. Where was the alternative other than some cowboy? It seems we have the same problem now. We are in the geographic shadow of two major clubs. A Wrexham clone is unlikely. You can only play that game once and that club is Welsh etc. So where does that leave things? The need for another with affection for the Club to give it a go! We are very lucky that we have not gone the same way as Southport, Chester, and, many years before, New Brighton!
