Disappointing news from the Liverpool Senior Cup. A team containing nine players with first-team experience lost to a team four leagues below us. I'd have expected them all to put on a display to press for the first team and to stay in Micky's squad for the rest of the season, but it looks like confirmation that the quality is not there. I assume none of us went there, but it would have been useful to hear how everyone played.

Yes, this was a very disappointing outcome. From what I've read, a poor performance, despite the novelty of George Donnelly actually scoring.

A performance and result that probably just hastens the departure of most of the first teamers involved, sadly.
