If you believe the rumours something will be announced tomorrow or Tuesday. The sooner the better as they’ll have a few days before Fleetwood away next Saturday.
Forget about Ryan Lowe. No way he’s coming. Pete Wild may fancy it but I wonder if John McGreal may be interested.
Although I don’t think he lives local anymore he has experience of the league and being a former CB (although Crosby was), could he sort out the worst defence in the division?
Could be tricky as he’s had a cushy job at Ipswich u21s for a few years and is based down there, but could be come in temporarily?

I suspect it’ll be Wild until the end of the season.

I would be happy with Wild.

I think any new manager needs to be appointed this week, so he can use the Fleetwood game to embed his ideas.

We don't want him going into the Harrogate game, one of the biggest in our recent history, completely cold (assuming there is the intention to make an appointment, which isn't a given).

Yes I agree and football being a game of fate it would be typically ironic if Wilds first match for us was against the club who sacked him approx 6 weeks ago.

Where are the rumours actually originating from, Sparky? Had a look on the other site and couldn't see anything much there. Palios' post-sacking Crosby, pre-Oldham interview suggested he'd rather carry on with the cheapskate option.

Any pro manager with some experience ought to be able to stop the rot even with our current injury-depleted side in the time available, so long as they're in place soon. Wild seems to be a bit of a Keith Hill type figure and I'd have some reservations for him in the longer term. but if he was willing to take the job until the end of the season, maybe with a survival bonus, it could work.

but we all know what mark is like he likes to di#k around and doesn't do fast

Not seen anything on the other site saying a new Manager is coming in Monday or Tuesday?

Some talk Paul Ince was seen at Solar Campus this morning.

Possibly nonsense but would make sense. He’s local (possibly banned from driving), has experience of keeping teams up albeit years ago and as he’s been unemployed for a while, may be happy with a short term deal.

Well unless a new manager announced tomorrow it's either going be Parky for at least the next 2 games or someone is coming in with little time to work with and prepare the players.

If Parkinson remains for the rest of the season, relegation is a certainty.

There was nothing in the performance on Saturday to suggest he has what it takes, and he clearly doesn't want the job.

I think something will be announced tomorrow or Wednesday. Even a short term deal can take some time to finalise, especially if any new manager wants the incentive of another years deal if we stay up and you can imagine Palios not wanting to do that.

Shane Mac Dermit writing for Sports boom, reasons Rovers are in talks over Ryan Lowe becoming manager, as I have never heard of Sports boom, I have no idea, if there is any truth in it but the writer reckons he could be named tomorrow.

I hope so as someone needs to sort these players out.

I’d be amazed if Lowe came. He’ll have his sights on something better than us and wouldn’t want a relegation on his CV
His last 2 jobs havnt gone well but the chances of him coming to us are very slim. Anyone willing to take the job on would have to do so without being able to bring in their own coaching team which will likely rule out many.
